One word

A sentence to remember

Every sentence is decoded before you see it: it gives exactly your number.

How it works

Each digit stands for a consonant sound; vowels (and a few free letters) mean nothing, so you can put them anywhere. Turn the digits into consonants, add vowels, and a number becomes words. A word always turns back into exactly one number.

Major System is the English code taught in Arthur Benjamin & Michael Shermer's Mathemagics / Secrets of Mental Math; it goes by sound (pronunciations from the CMU dictionary). Stepanov is the Russian code chosen by the editors of the Russian edition, «Магия чисел» (МИФ, 2015). Perelman is the older Russian БЦК. Both Russian codes go by letter; a doubled letter counts once.

Words come from frequency lists (wordfreq), commonest first. AI sentences are written by a language model and kept only if they decode to your number.
